AI project management, without the AI bill.
Most project tools now sell AI by the seat or by the credit. ReplaProject takes a different route: it comes with an MCP server, so an AI assistant you already use, such as Claude, can read your projects, answer questions and suggest jobs. Each suggested job waits for a person to approve it, and ReplaProject charges nothing for any of this, because it doesn’t sell AI at all.

“What’s late this week?”
It reads your projects and answers from them: what’s overdue, whose name is on it, and what it’s waiting for.
“Turn this email into jobs.”
Paste in an email and it proposes the jobs. Nothing appears on the board until a person approves each one.
“What’s the roof waiting on?”
It reads what each job is waiting on and follows the trail back to the job holding the rest up.
How it connects
- Make a key. In ReplaProject, go to Settings, then API keys. A read-only key lets the assistant look; a full key lets it suggest and change jobs too.
- Add the connector. ReplaProject comes with an MCP server. A few lines in Claude Desktop’s or Claude Code’s settings point it at your install.
- Ask. In plain words, the way you’d ask whoever runs the office.

The honest limits
- It isn’t built in. ReplaProject has no chatbot of its own. It works with an assistant you connect, such as Claude.
- Your assistant has its own price. Whatever you pay for Claude or another assistant, you still pay. ReplaProject adds nothing on top.
- It needs a desktop app. The connector is a small Python 3 program that runs on your own computer, alongside apps such as Claude Desktop or Claude Code. Chat apps that live only in a browser can’t use it.
- No automatic scheduling. Tools such as Motion plan your calendar for you. ReplaProject doesn’t.

The one that works from your real projects. An assistant that can read who’s doing what, and what’s waiting on what, gives better answers than one guessing from a description.
Can I use AI for project management?
Yes, for the reading and writing: summarising what’s late, turning emails into jobs, drafting a plan. Keep a person approving what goes on the board.
Does ReplaProject charge for AI?
No. It doesn’t sell AI. Its MCP server lets the assistant you already use work with your projects, and the $399 covers it.
