ClickUp has four public plans. Free Forever costs nothing but comes with only 60MB of storage. Unlimited is $7 per person a month billed yearly, or $10 monthly. Business is $12 billed yearly, or $19 monthly. Enterprise is priced by ClickUp’s sales team. AI isn’t included in any of them: it’s an add-on from $9 per person a month, charged for everyone in the Workspace.

Where the limits bite
Free runs out of room
The Free Forever plan has no time limit and no cap on members, but 60MB of storage for the whole Workspace. A handful of photos and PDFs and it’s full.
AI costs extra, for everybody
ClickUp’s AI is a separate add-on, charged for every member of the Workspace rather than the people who use it. Brain AI on a ten-person team adds $1,080 a year.
One plan for the whole Workspace
Everyone in a Workspace is on the same plan, so you can’t put the office on Business and everyone else on Unlimited. People added part-way through a billing period are charged pro rata.
Automations are counted
Free includes 100 automation runs a month, Unlimited 1,000 and Business 5,000. Only Enterprise goes to 250,000.

AI more than doubles the bill on Unlimited. Ten people on Unlimited pay $4,200 over five years; add Brain AI and it’s $9,600.
Is ClickUp worth it?
On features per dollar, ClickUp is hard to beat. Unlimited at $7 a head includes more than most tools’ middle plans, and it has proper phone apps.
It does a great deal, which is also the most common complaint: it takes time to set up and learn. And the AI that ClickUp now leads with is a separate bill for every member, which is easy to miss when you compare the plan prices.
The one-payment alternative
ReplaProject is project management you buy once. $399, and everyone in your business is on it. Every job gets a board, a table and a calendar, jobs can wait on other jobs, and a forwarded email becomes a job. It doesn’t sell AI by the seat either: it has an MCP server, so the AI assistant you already use (Claude, for example) can read your projects and suggest jobs, and nothing reaches the board until a person says yes. It runs on a server you rent from about $6 a month, so five years comes to about $759 for the whole team.
It isn’t for everyone. ClickUp does far more (docs, whiteboards, chat and goals among it), so if you use those, stay. There’s no app in the App Store (it works in a phone’s browser), and it needs a server, which we can set up or run for you. See everything it does.
