Asana alternative

An Asana alternative you pay for once.

Asana is polished, but it’s priced per seat and sold in blocks. Starter is $10.99 per person a month billed yearly, and a team of eleven pays for fifteen. ReplaProject gives every job a board, a table and a calendar, you buy it once, and the whole team is included.

One payment. No monthly bill, no price per seat, nothing to cancel.

Ten people on Asana, for five years.

Asana Starter

$6,594

$10.99 per person a month, billed yearly. $8,094 if you pay month to month. The free plan now stops at two people.

Asana Advanced

$14,994

$24.99 per person a month, billed yearly. Advanced is where Asana’s portfolios, goals and time tracking live.

ReplaProject

$399

Ten people or fifty, the same price, with no seats and so no seat blocks. Plus about $6 a month for the server it runs on.

Asana prices from asana.com/pricing on 29 September 2026. Over five years ReplaProject comes to about $759 with the server; Asana Starter for ten people comes to $6,594. Every Asana plan is broken down in our Asana pricing guide.

What changes when you move

Everyone is on it

No seats, so no seat blocks and no empty seats to pay for. The office, the site, the subbies, the client if you like: adding somebody costs nothing.

Built for jobs, not programmes

Every job gets a board, a table and a calendar, and any of them can show every project at once. It’s made for a business running work, not a company planning it.

Forward an email, get a job

Every project has its own address. A customer’s request or a supplier’s quote lands on the board with the attachments already on it.

It knows what waits for what

“The roof can’t start till the scaffold’s up.” Tell it once, and it works out which job everything else is waiting on, and says so.

AI without a meter

The AI assistant you already use can read your projects and suggest jobs through ReplaProject’s MCP server. Nothing reaches the board until a person says yes, and there’s no request allowance to run out of.

Nothing is really deleted

Bin something by mistake and it comes back exactly as it was, comments, files and all.

When Asana is still the better choice

Better you know now than after you have paid.

  • You plan large programmes of work. Asana’s portfolios, goals and resource management go further than anything in ReplaProject.
  • You’re a team of two. Asana’s free Personal plan still covers a pair at no cost.
  • You want an app from the App Store. ReplaProject works properly in a phone’s browser, but there is no app to download.
  • You lean on Asana’s integrations. ReplaProject connects through Zapier, Make, webhooks and its own API instead, so check the one you need is covered.
  • You never want to think about a server. It runs on one you rent, from about $6 a month. We can set it up for you, or run it for you, but it exists.

Moving your projects across

Export your Asana projects to a spreadsheet and bring the jobs in as a batch. ReplaProject shows you what it is about to create before it creates anything, and keeps a record of every import. Sections become statuses, tasks become jobs, and each job gets one name on it. If you would rather not do it yourself, write to us first and we will say honestly how long it will take.
