Trello alternative

A Trello alternative you pay for once.

Trello is lovely until the team grows. Standard is $5 per person, per month, and the bill goes up with every name you add. ReplaProject gives every job a board, a list and a calendar, you buy it once, and the whole team is included.

One payment. No monthly bill, no price per person, nothing to cancel.

Ten people on Trello, for five years.

Trello Standard

$3,000

$5 per person a month, billed yearly. $3,600 if you pay month to month. Every new starter adds $60 a year.

Trello Premium

$6,000

$10 per person a month, billed yearly. Premium is the plan that adds Trello’s calendar and table views.

ReplaProject

$399

Ten people or fifty, the same price. Board, table and calendar included. Plus about $6 a month for the server it runs on.

Trello prices from trello.com/pricing on 28 September 2026. Over five years ReplaProject comes to about $759 with the server; Trello Standard for ten people comes to $3,000. Every Trello plan is broken down in our Trello pricing guide.

What changes when you move

Everyone is on it

The office, the site, the subbies, the client if you like. Adding somebody costs nothing, so nobody is left off the board to save money.

It knows what waits for what

“The roof can’t start till the scaffold’s up.” Tell it once, and it works out which job everything else is waiting on, and says so.

Forward an email, get a job

Every project has its own address. A customer’s request or a supplier’s quote lands on the board with the attachments already on it.

One name on every job

Each job has one person responsible, and anything with nobody’s name on it is put in front of you instead of quietly hidden.

Nothing is really deleted

Bin something by mistake and it comes back exactly as it was, comments, files and all.

Ask for it in plain English

“What’s late?” An AI assistant can read your projects and suggest jobs, but nothing reaches the board until a person says yes.

When Trello is still the better choice

Better you know now than after you have paid.

  • You’re a small team and Trello’s free plan is enough. It covers up to 10 collaborators and 10 boards per workspace at no cost.
  • You want an app from the App Store. ReplaProject works properly in a phone’s browser, but there is no app to download.
  • You lean on Trello’s Power-Ups. ReplaProject connects through Zapier, Make, webhooks and its own API instead, so check the one you need is covered.
  • You never want to think about a server. It runs on one you rent, from about $6 a month. We can set it up for you, or run it for you, but it exists.

Moving your boards across

Bring your existing jobs in from a spreadsheet as a batch. ReplaProject shows you what it is about to create before it creates anything, and keeps a record of every import. Lists become statuses, cards become jobs, and each job gets one name on it. If you would rather not do it yourself, write to us first and we will say honestly how long it will take.
